چکیده

Abstract: For the characteristics of full electric propulsion, a novel kind of brake-by-wire unit is designed for electric vehicle to improve braking performance. A comprehensive brake-by-wire system including this unit is set up after its structure and principle are introduced. Then, a multi-layer fuzzy controller is proposed to regulate decelerate and wheel slip rate, and an optimal regenerative strategy is proposed to recover braking energy. At last, the experiment of brake unit is completed to verify that this novel unit is technologically feasible, and an electric vehicle co-simulation model based on MATLAB/Simulink and AMESim is established to prove that this novel unit is able to significantly improve braking performance of electric vehicle. The simulation result shows braking distance and time are shorten by 12.19% and 15.54% respectively compared with conventional ABS system in the same braking condition, and the recovery efficiencies in light and heavy braking are 53% and 28% respectively.

Type-2 Fuzzy Braking-Torque Electronic Stability Control for Four-Wheel Independent Drive Electric Vehicles

The electronic stability control (ESC) system is one of the most important active safety systems in vehicles. Here, we intend to improve the Electronic stability of four in-wheel motor drive electric vehicles. We will design an electronic stability control system based on Type-2 fuzzy logic controller. Since, Type-2 fuzzy controller has uncertainty in input interval furthermore of output fuzzin...

56F8300 Hybrid Controller Used in Control of Electro-Mechanical Brake

Electro-mechanical braking systems (see [9], References), also referred to as brake by-wire, replace conventional hydraulic braking systems with a completely “dry” electrical component system. This occurs by replacing conventional actuators with electric motor-driven units. This move to electronic control eliminates many of the manufacturing, maintenance, and environmental concerns associated w...

An Investigation on the Effect of Using Regenerative Braking System on Energy Consumption Reduction of Hybrid Vehicles Based on Tehran City Driving Cycle

In driving and when you brake, a lot of energy is dissipated to stop the car; especially in urban areas where the vehicle is driving in a stop-and-go pattern. This energy, which is dissipated by the brake pads, can be stored in the vehiclechr('39')s battery. In Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, a regenerative brake can be used alongside the mechanical brakes to regenerate some energy while braking....

Hydraulic anti-lock, anti-skid braking system using fuzzy controller

To maintain the stability trajectory of vehicles under critical driving conditions, anti lock-anti skid controllers, consisting of four anti-lock sub-controllers for each wheel and two anti-skid sub-controllers for left and right pair wheels have been separately designed. Wheel and body systems have been simulated with seven degrees of freedom to evaluate the proper functioning of controllers. ...

Active Brake Judder Compensation Using an Electro-Hydraulic Brake System

Geometric imperfections on brake rotor surface are well-known for causing periodic variations in brake torque during braking. This leads to brake judder, where vibrations are felt in the brake pedal, vehicle floor and/or steering wheel. Existing solutions to address judder often involve multiple phases of component design, extensive testing and improvement of manufacturing procedures, leading t...
